Fed cuts rate

The Fed have cut the federal rate by 1/2% to 1%. Money is cheaper to borrow and this will entice people, the decline in oil prices to $68 as of today, this decline is due to the ecomomic crisis we are facing.
With the lowered % rate we can hope for increased consumer activities which will trigger economy activity. We will begin to see reduction in the cost of borrowing mortgages and equity loans. Unfortunately we won't see any change in credit cards %, this is because the c.c companies want a piece of the pie.
Businesses need to go out and start the train moving in the economy, borrow and hire more people,expand business and start getting investors in and rebooth this countries' economy.

The Banks Are Still At It.

With the melt down on wall Street you would think banks are being sensible and refrain from paying employees the same or even more as they did last year and with bonuses tied to personal or companies performance to these payments.
Some of the largest banks in the US have cut thousands of jobs, salaries, benefits and bonuses and have seen an increase in salary up to 3% over a year ago.
The banks got us in this mess because of their greed and now they are asking taxpayers to bail out these large corporations. People have loss their bonuses and their pensions and are being asked to continue having faith with these scoundrels. Despite the economic disaster these banks have cause they will decide what to pay out even though they are responsible. It seem that these companies want the compensation plan to pay employees and allow them to get wealthy. The people that they laid off could be paid with the extravagant bonuses that the y are giving out.
Will the banks learn a lesson or is this just another day in the world of financing and being reckless with other peoples' money.

Financial Turmoil....administative rescue plan

Now the truth is being admitted to Americans, the country is in financial turmoil. Jobs are at stake, business can go bankrupt and foreclosures would be more eminent. President George W. Bush in a news cast made public the state of the economy, which was less than kosher. He has called on congress to vote on an administrative rescue plan that would make taxpayer responsible for the $700 billion debt.
With the economy being in such a turmoil it has put more focus on the presidential hopefuls and what each member is bringing to the table. It is a whole new ball game that they are venturing into. c
Each member must present to America what strategic plan they have and will it work with the administrative plan that President Bush wants to be vote on.
Whatever we do we must remember it's the taxpayers are going to fell the blunt of that short sword.
We must now watch the USD plummet and what is the plan for a sinking dollar.

Nightmare on Wall Street

September 15, 2008 we had a financial crisis never seen since the great depression.
With crashing of the stocks on Wall Street people are feeling a sense of lose at the vulnerability of the economy. Consumers are cringing at the impending doom of our nation, when three powerhouses are left in the carnage of yesterdays assault then we know there are troubled waters ahead.
AIG, Merrill Lynch and Lehman Bros. were nailed to the coffin as the day progress all due to direct and indirect flop of the housing market. Washington Mutual the largest S&L credit has been down graded by several financial agencies and may soon be talking bankruptcy. There is a crisis of confidence, banks have tighten up reign, lendings have decrease and people are scared. Job will be lost and small business will start going under.
With the tax cuts and deregulation of the credit industry over the last year look what has happened to the economy. "NO" the economy is not fundamentally sound, people need to take their heads out of the sand and realize that this are people's future, their retirement and their lfe savings that are at stake.
The big question "is America broke and how are we going to climb out of this one"?

Can Canada's Prime Minister be trusted

With Canada's impending election, people are asking where is the real Stephen Harper. It seems that he has gone fruity sweet on the inside, but indeed crusty on the outside. This is to say, the crust is being smooth away in order to make him more personable, no easy feat there. Canada's Prime Minister has undergone an image makeover, and it seems to be working. Canadian women seem to be buying into this new Stephen Harper's personality. The meeting with families and holding of babies just make mothers tickled pink. Ladies don't be too gulliable, a lepoard can't change their spots, only disguise them.
What is rather surprising, is the recent breakfast with the media, which Mr. Harper attended. He had decleared previously that the media was banned from his premises. He stated in an interview that "he cries when spoeaking to the family of dead soliders", I thought the anglo saxon in him prevented any displayed of public emotion.
All is not so peachy on the election trail; because the Newfounlanders think Stephen Harper is a "fraud". He has done the unthinkable act of ...a promise not kept. Can harper be trusted with a majority vote? That's the all important question Canadians need to ask themselves. They are feeling the cold sting of betrayal of Harper by calling an election at this time. He is definitely not going green, but shifting to the blue shaft of the conservatives.

Jesse Jackson ......foot in his mouth

Talk about foot in the mouth . Rev. Jesse Jackson surely got his boot stuck in his mouth when he made that nasty comment not some heart felt emotion. Why would the Rev. make such a comment when he knows wall have ears, in this case microphones. 'If you have nothing good to say, keep your mouth shut'. How embarrassing for him to find himself in a situation like that, I know we all make little inappropriate comments about others at times but, when it's publicized to millions of people thats another story.

Jackson made the disparaging comment about Obama, he was unaware the microphone was on. He has then gone on and apologized for the"hurtful and wrong" remarks he made.

However, the good Rev. will recover as he had in the past, the other 'hurtful and wrong' things he had done are behind him. He should'nt be too had on hinself as many others have found themselves in the similar pridicament have recovered.

Sufferings in Zimbabwe

With the people of Zimbabwe suffering, the world empathizes with them and the hardship they face. While it's leaders and ex leaders continue to deny the hardship, the people are suffering from chronic food shortage, shortage of fuel and lack of proper medical care. The countries" inflation rate has sky rocketed to an unbelievable inflation rate of 2.2 million percent. Now, that's a country in crisis.

The Reserve bank of Zimbabwe has gone on to release a few bank notes including a $50 billion and a $100 billion bank notes. $1oo billion is equivalent to $2 USD, with many people earning $100 billion monthly which can barely support a family. The suffering of Zimbabwe has left it's people in desperate situations, with money running short at the local western union type facility.

With all this suffering in Zimbabwe, it's former president Robert Mugabe is living in unbelievable opulence while his country is in a political crisis. The extravagant luxury surpasses that of Queen Elizabeth's castle.

When celebrities think they have arrived.

I don't do a whole lot of celebrity talk in my blog but when something catches my attention or bugs the hell out of me then, be sure I'm going to talk about it.

My attention goes to Kanye West and his behaviour in the last year. He has been getting from bad to worst with behaviour and expectation of the results his fan should be bestowing on him. In his mind he is worthy of all accolades that are issued to any other entertainers, he thinks he is in a category by himself, how wrong can one be.

In his latest fiasco at Bonnaroo the four day music festival at Manchester, Tennessee he totally dissed his fans by appearing unfashionable late and without any kind of remorse. Well, the fans had had enough and the ones that were left began a booing festival of their own. All the glitz of his performance did not recoup the crowds affection, basically it fell short of a few bolts. Not that crowd's reaction is going to change anything about Kanye"s behaviour, I think this incident will ignite it more. However, fans are very forgiving.

What about proper stage etiquette, I am sure proper social behaviour is not dead.

Blogging at an Early Age

Would you believe it, more kids are blogging now than ever before. They have an entire online community that's geared towards them. With the daily pressures of school and family life no wonder so many teens are turning to the internet to cushion the blows of 'hard knocks".

My sixteen year old neighbour enlighten me that blogging has opened up a whole new world for her. There she doesn't have to hide behind a book or sit alone at lunch but, she can be the person who she think she really is. For some kids this is their only way to interact with their peers without feeling shy and withdrawn. So, this can be a real self-esteem boost to have social life outside of school walls. Others get the emotional support they are looking, they are able to sound off in a somewhat unbias forum. Kids with raging hormones can speak to others that they think will understand.

When my younger daughter classmate and his family were murdered by their father the children at the school used blogging and message boards to deal with their grief. This was a very trying time and thank God they have a voice.

My daughter on the other hand thinks blogging should be just to keep up with old friends and collegues. After moving fron Canada to Alabama she uses blogging to keep in contact, accasionally she'll use it to keep the grandparents upto date of what's happening with her on this side of the world.

As she reached out to make new friends her in a new state her blogging was able to keep her keep her feeling supported until was was settled in.

My thought is that blog is an essential part of expressing ones self to others.

With hypertension born Heart disease and stroke

When I found out I had hypertension boy was I surprised. Less than two months prior I had the optimal blood pressure measurement 140/70, this had thrown me for a loop. Here I was exercising 5 days per week and eating healthy not to mention my weekly trip to get a massage and what, plague with hypertension. My blood pressure had taken off like a bat out of hell and was rising on a daily basis, panic started to set in which is not good when you have hypertension. Not knowing what to do I consulted my doctor who quickly informed me that my blood pressure was 170/116, he wrote a prescription for a pressure reducing drug and sent me on my way. Not feeling quite satisfied I went home and started my research on hypertension and the natural remedies that were available. With the knowledge I uncovered, I made the decision not to take the medication but to take the natural remedies path.
What I found out was hypertension was linked to heart disease and stroke not to mention all the ailments to other organs in the body. It was and is advised to take the medication prescribed by the doctor. I however opted to start a daily regime of 2 cloves of crushed garlic with apple cider vinegar, 1 cayenne pepper capsule twice, fish oil capsule, coq10, vitamin e and hawthorn berry tea. This I did for 2 months after which my blood pressure was reduced dramatically. This after trying other concoction worked.
Things I had done to try and lower pressure (I found not all these were effect for me)
Beet juice (not so tasty)
1 celery stick daily
Daily morning laughter (hard when nothing is funny)

Sleeping with your head turn north

These buggers can be annoying and a pain; they are a non-cancerous growth that is the number one cause of hysterectomies. Great news, it is however easy to keep fibroids under control.

1. Take your vitamin Bs
Fibroids are fueled by estrogen. By taking a B complex you will greatly improve the odds of bothering with fibroids. Beans are a good provider of this vitamin. Eat at least six servings of whole grains daily to get you vitamin B.

2. Fill up on your Greens,
Women that consume lots of red meat tend to have a higher rate of fibroids. Foods that are packed with hormones diminishes the liver’s ability to keep estrogen in check. By contrast, women who eat a lot of vegetables have a lower risk of having fibroids significantly. So, ladies consume 10 servings of fruits and vegetables daily and you will find you are in the preventable mode.
3. Drink up your Wine,
But, no more than one glass. Excess alcohol can increase your estrogen level by over 300%. Keep the wine intake to a minimum by one glass per day.
4. Take that Stroll,
Going for a nice walk for at least 45 minutes will significantly help. It boost’s circulation, it takes away excess estrogen and speed up the breakdown of fibroids.
5. Lycopene will do it,
Fuel up on your tomatoes and pink grapefruits. The lycopene in these fruits will starve off the fibroids or reduce the size and numbers you have. So, eat up your tomato sauce, drink your tomato juice and fruit grapefruit juice. If at all possible consume tomatoes cooked.

Opps they have done.......Beyonce and Jay Z forever!!

Beyonce and Jay Z have finally decided to tie the knot.
Rumours have the wedding to be Friday April 4,2008.
I guess the planets are align and the stars are in favor of the one of the music industries' power couple and power couple they are. Both have been very successful in their own right, Beyonce being a grammy winner and so is Jay z both have have had major number one hitting albums, while Jay Z have gone on to own the New Jersey Net and be the music industries mogul he is. Miz Beyonce is still hitting the high note and breaking sales numbers with her music.

This should be one elaborate and luxurious affair, Beyonce known for her fantastic taste in fashion will no doubt be wearing something out of this world and Jay Z with his love of the finer things in life will be living up to their reputation.
The guest list will no doubt be impressive, from movie stars to artist and no doubt politicans. Some of Hollywood's eloquence will be showcasing the stuff.
Can't wait for tomorrow to come and see the crowning of the king and queen of the music industry.

Today I decided to revamp one of my squidoo lens that I had done a while back, only to find a wonderful recipe I had of Jerk chicken so, I decided to make it today. Boy what a great decision that was, it turned out wonderful. I fogot how delicious west indian foods can be, it's all the spices that marry together to create that unison in your mouth. My stomach was singing after and I wanted to kiss the sky. My point today is don't be afraid of trying new things, maybe you wont be familiar with all the ingredients, but thats what it's all about.

Bingo Bags and thongs

Wearing the right underwear can mean all the difference whether you have a good time out or not. People tend to be going for comfort more than anything even though style still plays an important part in how we feel in our clothes. Wearing those large pieces of underwear, we'll call them bingo bags verses thongs all depends upon the individuals comfort level of knowing a piece of their ass is hanging out. Many people care not and opt to publicly advertise their wears while others are undercover thong wearers. These people enjoy the fact that they are wearing these risque pieces of clothing but would die of embrassment if anyone found out. They feel a certain amount of sex appeal and they tend to gain self confidence when they adorn a thong.
I say"let thongs be free", they make your clothing look smoother and those dreadful panty lines are eliminated. No more bunching up of clothing and wearing yards of fabric in underwear, it just seem the logical thing to wear.

Tyra Banks has finally done it, she has gotten pregnant. The supermodel model turn talk show host has been seen with a showing belly and seems quite happy about it. It's been known for quite sometime the the 5'10 beauty has been having motherly inclinations but has not chosen a father for her child. Tyra is very successful in her own rights gone from one of the worlds most beautiful models to reality show creator to singer and now talk show host. Is motherhood next for this thriving mogul and who could be the baby daddy? Could it be that savvy Italian lover or could it be Tyler Perry? Well, despite our hopes and wishes for Tyra that belly was just a sympathy belly done for a recent pregnancy party show. She definitely had people fool and with her recent weight gain made it all the easier to fool people. This one's for you Miz T.

Keyshia Cole

Now, Keyshia Cole being one of my favorite singers has gone and got herself all jacked up by Young Jeezy as the rumours have it. I thought these two were history months ago but maybe that was just an act to throw the tabloids off their tracks. Jeezy has been going around saying he is going to be a father......who knows. This is something coming not going and I'm sure her mama will be happy for another grandchild.....well, let's hope. Keisha Cole and Young Jeezy, they sure be making good music together.
