Born to a developer and a house wife, Donald
Trump knew one day he would be very successful. Call it intuition or inborn ambition;
he had a vision and a relentless mission to see it come to fruition. In 1946,
Trump entered into the world what most people called a privileged life. It has
been reported that his father was a developer in New York and has been
successful in building affordable homes for middle class families. Following
his father’s footsteps as it relates business and being visionary, Donald Trump
jumps out the gate as an energetic and robust child and thereby excels in
school until he graduated from Wharton Finance College with a degree in
Economics.
Trump the Business Man
To put it differently, Donald Trump had aspirations
running through his veins. As a young man, he would work at his father’s
construction sites with the sole intention of learning the inner workings of
business so as to make a tremendous contribution to his community and the world
at large. After college, he made the decision to emulate his father and draw on
his visionary gifts and as result entered into the real estate industry. In
doing so, his sights were set on bigger things with a rapacious appetite to
accomplish greatness. His father saw such ambition illuminating from his son
and thus invested in his future with $1,000,000.00 to start his own business.
Some would
say Donald Trump was a born deal maker and negotiator, wheeling and dealing his
way up the ladder of success. His first real memorable development was in 1974,
where he took the Commodore Hotel near Grand Central station and worked out a
business deal for partnership with the Hyatt Corporation. The Grand Hyatt Hotel
was opened soon thereof with billowing success—putting the label on Trump as
one of the city’s best developer.
In 1979, he set his sights on higher potentials.
That is, he developed a fifty-eight story building, which would serve as both
an apartment and retail paces. It was a Der Scutt design and cost $200 million
to develop. Such development is now home to many celebrities and high end
retail stores. The building was named the Trump Plaza and boosts an 80 foot
water fall.
The Donald found Mrs. Donald
A man is not at his best when he is alone. And so in 1976, Ivanna Zelnickova entered
into the Donald’s life. The following year he married the former model and
professional skier after a world wind courtship. Such union produced three
children—Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. Ivanna was not a typical East European
housewife. She showed an early interest in her husband business ventures. She
served as an interior decorator for many of Trump’s hotels and held many positions
in some of Trump’s Hotels and Casinos.
Though the social couple had a good working
relationship publicly, it wasn’t going so well privately. In 1990, their
marriage ended in divorce. The Donald was accused of having an affair with
model Marla Maples whom he ended up marrying later. In the end, Ivanna walked
away with a $20 million-dollar settlement and has gone on to be involved in numerous
business ventures. In 1993, Trump
married Marla Maples, the woman he was accused of having an affair with. The
marriage went on to produce one child—Tiffany. Marla was accused of having an
affair with a Trump staff, which ended in divorce.
In 1993 Trump married Marla Maples, the woman he
had an affair with. The marriage went on to produced one child, Tiffany. Marla
was accused of having an affair with a Trump staff which ended the marriage in
1999. She left the marriage with only one million dollars, property and child
support due to a prenuptial agreement.
The third Mrs. Trump is Malania
Knauss, model and entrepreneur that married Trump in 2005 and the union produced
a son, Barron. To present, the Trumps are enjoying a happy married life.
It is not unusual to see Trump
buildings in various countries around the world. The Trump name is identified
with real estate development and the second generation of Trumps are preparing
to take the reins on day.
The Presidential Hopeful
Donald Trump has emerged himself into the
Republican party as a presidential hopeful for the 2016 election. He has
surprise any people when he surged past other popular candidates with his no
nonsense approach to the countries shortfalls. He has quick lips and is
insulting, but the people seem to welcome that change in a candidate. He has
stated his plans for the various problems that the country is facing. Not
everyone agrees with his solutions, but we will see when America goes to the
poll in November.
